Pursuit Start Times

The object of a pursuit start is to have all competitor finish near the same time. Pursuit races use reverse PHRF Time over Distance (ToD) starting order. The boat with the slowest rating (highest PHRF number) shall start first and the boat with the fastest rating (lowest PHRF number) will start last.

Competitors shall not start before their assigned starting time.

Competitors shall announce their intention to start at approximately10 minutes before their assigned starting time.
